Gorvinder's recent experience includes:
- Advised employers on legislative changes, including the new Oman Labour, Personal Data Privacy Law and Social Protection Law and drafting variations to contract terms and updating HR policies and staff handbooks for compliance.
- Advised a US company on steps following a data security breach to employees' data in Oman.
- Conducted an independent investigation into sexual harassment allegations filed against a senior executive of an international petrochemicals company and subsequently advising on disciplinary action under Oman Labour Law.
- Assisted with the investigation of a sexual harassment complaint in KSA, made by a Saudi female employee against a male expatriate manager, through the disciplinary proceedings which led to the departure of the manager from the business.
- Advised a national telecoms company on the employee aspects of a potential acquisition of a mobile telecoms company, including undertaking employment due diligence.
- Advised a power company on the statutory transfer of employees following termination of an O&M contract, including statutory notifications to the Ministry of Labour.
