Oliver is a Legal Director in Addleshaw Goddard's London office, specialising in reputation and information protection. 

Oliver has expertise in reputational/information crisis response, working to deliver proportionate responses and optimal outcomes; he has extensive experience acting on defamation and associated causes of action including malicious falsehood, civil harassment, misuse of private information, breach of confidence, data protection rules and the “right to be forgotten”. He has assisted with both IPSO and Ofcom complaints. He has advised entities in the financial, retail, energy, aviation, security, property development, brewing, healthcare and charitable sectors, in England and in other jurisdictions. He has also advised high-profile individuals in British and international politics, business and finance, shipping, policing, sports and private life. 

Oliver joined Addleshaw Goddard in January 2024, after 6½ years with Carter-Ruck's reputation protection, media and privacy team. 

Oliver also advises on commercial litigation, including finance disputes, professional negligence, oil & gas litigation and shareholder disputes. His reported commercial litigation cases include Berezovsky v Abramovich [2012] EWHC 2463 (Comm), Dar Al Arkan Real Estate Co v Al Refai [2013] EWHC 4112 (QB) and Dhanani v Crasnianski [2011] EWHC 926.
