Andrew Greaves is the founding partner of Addleshaw Goddard in the GCC and the current Head of Construction. He has been permanently based in the region for eleven years. Andrew specialises in advising government bodies, sponsors, funders, developers, employers, operators, constructors, sub-contractors and professional teams in relation to project procurement techniques (including facilities management) and dispute avoidance and resolution mechanisms.

Andrew is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and is currently sits as an arbitrator and advises many clients in the resolution of construction and engineering disputes. Andrew is familiar with all international standard forms of construction contract including FIDIC, ICE, NEC, IChemE, JCT and many bespoke forms and has acted in some of the region's most complex disputes and high value disputes. He has variously adopted negotiation, mediation, adjudication, expert determination, arbitration (ADCCAC, DIAC, ICC, LCIA, UNCITRAL, RICS, DIFC/LCIA, etc.), and litigation as means of resolving disputes.

Andrew has drafted, advised on and negotiated major PPP agreements and commercial documents relating to the procurement, operation and maintenance of major infrastructure projects, including oil and gas facilities, pipeline networks, power plants, mixed use developments, schools, hospitals, airports and roads. Andrew's experience also extends to joint venture agreements, most forms of standard form construction contracts and ancillary documentation (including consultant appointments, bonds, and guarantees).
