Expertise

Timo is Counsel in the Global Investigations Group of Addleshaw Goddard. He advises and defends corporate clients as well as individuals in the whole area of White Collar Crime and Criminal Tax Law as well as Compliance and Internal Investigations. He helps his clients dealing with compliance incidents as well as compliance risk assessments and to implement compliance measures, e.g. regarding anti-bribery and anti-money laundering compliance as well as whistleblowing procedures.

In the area of Criminal Tax Law, he defends corporate clients and individuals especially against accusations of tax evasion and tax fraud. He also advises his clients regarding correction statements and voluntary self-disclosures to avoid penalties. As a former employee of the Media Authority of Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein (Medienanstalt Hamburg/Schleswig-Holstein, MA HSH) he also specialises in criminal law aspects of IT, media, and internet. 

Timo regularly publishes in professional law journals and is the author of the book “Meldestellenbeauftragte – Rechte, Pflichten und Praxishinweise für Beauftragte nach dem HinweisgeberschutzG”. He has also contributed to commentaries on the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (Lieferkettensorgfaltspflichtengesetz, LkSG) and Criminal Media Law as an author. Since 2023, Timo has also been a permanent member to the legal journal Kommunikation & Recht (K&R).

In cooperation with Best Lawyers, the German business newspaper Handelsblatt names him in the legal field Corporate Governance & Compliance in the category "Ones to Watch" ("Anwälte der Zukunft") in 2023.
