Marco Zingler specialises in banking regulatory and investment law. He has many years of experience in advising national and international credit institutions, financial services institutions, and investment firms as well as payment institutions, electronic money institutions, and insurance companies on civil law and regulatory issues. In addition, he comprehensively advises capital management companies, investment fund managers, asset managers, and custodians on supervisory law, and also on the eligibility of assets. 

Furthermore, he provides advice on the establishment and structuring of investment funds and to investors (such as insurance companies, pension funds, and pension schemes). In addition, he advises on outsourcing matters, general compliance and distribution issues (including duty of care and organisational requirements), and capital requirements. His practice extends to restructuring and regulatory issues in regulated company transactions (such as infrastructure, real estate, debt, private equity, and venture capital). He also advises on the establishment of regulated entities and license extensions, particularly in the areas of new products, FinTech, and digital/crypto assets. His practice additionally covers ESG issues with a focus on the above areas (SFDR/Taxonomy). 

Marco Zingler not only has many years of experience in banking supervisory and investment law, but also has relevant in-house experience due to secondments and holds a diploma with the fiscal authorities in Germany (Dipl.-Finanzwirt (FH)). He is a regular speaker at seminars and events as well as a lecturer on banking and capital markets law at the University of Krems (Austria). In addition, Marco Zingler regularly publishes articles on various topics in his field of expertise; among other things, he is an author in several leading investment law commentaries.
