Recent experience includes:
- Acting for BT in respect of their UK property portfolio since 2004, including acquisitions, disposals and projects with specific notable instructions being:
- sale of BT Centre, St Pauls;
- the leasehold acquisition of their new 18 storey UK HQ Building in Aldgate, London;
- development and leasehold acquisition of regional business centres in Birmingham and Newcastle, totalling 175,000 ft2;
- the sale of marketing rights and transfer of 220 hightower telecommunications sites to Cellnex.
- Acting for Legal & General in:
- the forward purchase and forward funding of 3 developments comprising 600,000 ft2 with investment value of £270m;
- the acquisition and asset management of 5 industrial estates.
- Acting for Sage Group plc in the leasehold acquisition and refurbishment of 4 major UK office buildings in London, Newcastle and Manchester totalling circa 190,000 ft2.
- Acting for SSE plc in the creation of a new retail arm and the transfer of 45 properties (freehold, leasehold, sub-leasehold and assigned leases) into it from the main company.
- Acquiring, managing and disposing of surplus leasehold and freehold property portfolios for large corporate occupiers including Santander, B&Q, Wolseley Builders Merchants, Morrisons Supermarkets, Whitbread, Rentokil, Barclays Bank and Carillion.
- Acting for EE in the management of their retail property portfolio (both directly occupied and franchisee occupied), including lease renewals, joint ventures with suppliers, franchise renewals and variations and new leases.
